You are unstoppable.

This space has been less busy for a while now. So many things happening at the same time. My apologies.
So, what is it you've been going through lately?
Have you been having some hard time, or maybe hitting rough phases, facing obstacles, or meeting bad energies at almost every corner?
Let me share this with you.
Never see reasons to quit yet.

Whatever tunnel it is you are going through, it's just a phase. It will definitely pass. That I'm sure of. It is the exact time I'm clueless about.
Another thing is this, you're never in it alone. There is hardly any person around who really doesn't have an issue which he/she is battling with. In clearer terms, you're better off than a whole lot of persons. Your case is not the deadliest. A whole lot of others see worse days. For this reason alone, never stop being grateful.
In this aspect, you too can relate. Most times, we all just package. For the person beside you, for the culture, for so many reasons. You carry yourself at your best, when you're in your worst of times. So does your neighbor, therefore,do not be intimidated by dispositions.
            It would be well🙌.
È ma de bè, è ma ju bè lôn. That place you want to get to , you will get there, and surpass it. You'll go far.
Then, what  is it you want to do, or achieve. What is it that rousing in your belly you want to bring to life? What is that dream of yours you see both at night, and in daytime?
And  what's holding you back? What's stopping you?
            Don't tell me people 😔.
As much as you ask for opinions, filter your answers. Not everyone think before talking.
So, what's your next barrier? Time, money, something else?
Here is all I'll tell you. Begin somewhere today. Start taking baby steps today. The path gets clearer as you proceed.
Let me share a personal story with you. So, at the time I was about to get into the University, I had to buy a form for an exam. It was quite expensive, but that wasn't even issue. From what was on ground, Dad could afford to squeeze that amount out.
The main issue was the school fees which the authorities were already telling us we were going to pay, after a short period of gaining admission. Dad was having nothing close to that amount, and after examining everything, I told him not to worry, I would stay home for an extra year, while working, and trying to save up. He really didn't reply, but we were just watching the deadline for the sale of the forms, pass by very quickly. On the last day of the sales of those forms, I was just returning home when Dad grabbed me by the hand, and told me we were going to purchase the form. I quietly followed. On our way there, I then asked him why the sudden change of plans. Then he told me. If you're waiting till everything is complete before taking a step, you might end up never starting at all.
If you're waiting till everything is complete before taking a step, you might end up never starting at all.
Long story cut short, I got the form, took the exam, performed well, got my admission, and when the time for the payment of the school fees came. Dad paid it, the means notwithstanding. Till date, I'm ever grateful that I didn't just allow that year slip by.
I've said a lot. I should stop already. But let me leave you with these lyrics."If you know you're a star, say Irawo Irawo eeh". Irawo is the Yoruba meaning for star. So why am I bringing it in? What is it you are?? Keep saying it. Never stop calling yourself to existence. You're getting closer. You'll hit it seamlessly, and surpass extraordinarily.
We call it a wrap here. Thanks for coming through today. Lots of love from your favourite writer, Joy💜.

Expectations, then...disappointments.

MITIGATING THE HURTS THAT COMES WITH DISAPPOINTMENT.                   Friend, welcome again 🥰.              Sometime  ago, I got a new phone, and as usual, it came with a charger. Because this phone was a higher brand than all those I've used before, coupled with all the rants I heard about  the extra power that comes with follow come chargers😂, I protected this phone's charger with an utmost care. To be honest, left to me, I would not have loved to share this charger with anyone, but normally, as the Nigerians that we are, someone somewhere just had to beg you😔🤦. Sometimes, they could even use it in your absence if kept carelessly. So, somehow I still shared. All the same, I still took very good care of that charger, such that even as I shared, my heart went out with it.          Then one day...this beloved charger just stopped responding. Just like that. I mean ...

KEYS TO A HAPPY LIFE 2.

KEYS TO A HAPPY LIFE.                So friend, picking up from where we left off, here are the remaining tips I thought to share with you. Let's ride!🏄‍♂️ • ENCOURAGE OTHERS:   Everyday, we  meet weak people. We see persons struggling with the level we scaled years before. We come across persons fighting battles we fought and overcame a long time ago. In our classrooms, on social media, in our areas of interest or career, and just everywhere.             You remember how hard it was for you trying to start out?. Or maybe yours was bliss at the beginning. Yeah, it happens. You had no stress starting out. Probably, you were surrounded by the right persons, or you were just blessed. That’s a very nice one.  You're one of the very few, and I am happy for you🙌.              However, that person b...

For anything, anytime!

Reliance: I now started Wondering if I actually look like an onions. Vanessa: (Laughing hysterically) Oh my God!... It's well with us. But wait, ( She sits up, and glances at the clock on the wall) Reliance...It's almost ten a.m. What time did you plan to open your shop? Reliance : I'll go by eleven joor. Sales have been pretty low this week, and I'm just not happy about it. It's killing the little vibes I gathered to open the business. Valerie: So, what exactly do you want? Reliance: C'mon...I have over a million naira worth of goods in that shop, and I keep on selling only a handful of goods per day all. Valerie: Is that so? But at the time I passed yesterday, the whole place was scattered, like you had just sold over a hundred thousand nau.. Reliance: (In shock) Jesus!..what time was tha.. Valerie: In the afternoon joor..sometime between 1 and 2. I was on a bike, so I couldn't really stop to greet, but with that sight alone, I was just hail...

How do you see humble beginnings??

Frame It!!!....The best days are close already.           One day in my life, a long time after I had left secondary school, I was going through my school box, and lazily looking through all the last set of books I used during secondary school. Then I stumbled upon them. My different Journals and letters. The letters included those that were written to me, and those I failed to give out, due to lack of courage or any other reason. Boom! I sat down there and began to read. I've always loved reminiscence and reading with all my heart. So, I seamlessly spent quite sometime on that spot, reading those stuff, and trust me, I had a swell time. I laughed so hard, and I pinched myself at  different times. I am sure, you can guess the reason by now. Damn!...I felt stupefied and really surprised. For the letters I wrote, I kept on asking no one in particular..."Did I ever draft this?", "Like, Who does this? For those ...

The Limit of your Goodness.

TILL YOUR SHADOWS STOP SHOWING UP...            I too, face this issue everytime…Fredrick has been getting on my nerves lately. His own was now too much. All I badly craved now was to pour venom on him..through words, or even literally. Rebecca is nothing close to grateful, and never takes note of any good I do, and I just want to scream my  grievance into her face one day, and stop myself from doing good anywhere around her.                  And then I keep asking,"when do I stop  being good?, When is the right time to strike these persons with the fact that I also have a bad side, and I’m not made with goodness all around? Which time is the best for revenge or total back-off?.             Well then, here's the answer you may not want to hear, but need..." Till   your shadows stop showing up ".☺️       ...

Overcoming anger.

You're way too big!               Just one click, and you’re pissed off already...One reaction, and you’ve been taken off the hook....One word, and you’re swept off your feet.              This is just one though.               Let’s assume you didn’t yield. Probably, you’re a bit stronger. However, sometimes it could be more. Your contenders may decide to take it a bit further. They give you in more doses, and how does it turn out? You get fed up, and, next thing, you blow up. You take everything and everyone down.             Whichever scenario it is, why let them take the glory all the time? Why let them beat you hands down? Why let them push you to the wall?? Why let them get you annoyed?? Why let them drive you insane?             And in just a minute more, you’...

WE ARE STILL HUMANS.

Just before you carry out that action..                 The moderator  rolled in the announcements, and this was among. The third meeting in three weeks, was mentioned. Where the pastors would go and discuss redundant stuff that could wait, or be finalized on phone. But as usual, the senior pastor would hear none of that. He actually holds such meetings in high esteem, and sees anyone's failure to come, as disobedience.                Having  that realization hit him once more, and remembering that he was stuck, the junior pastor cried out in my front. Yeah...he blurted out:"It's still the same things we are going there to discuss"... and I'm quite tired and hungry😥. He just wished for a way to escape but there was none. The moderator would not even take his message, not to talk of relaying it to the senior pastor.             ...

Catering for our differences.

WE ARE ONE.                                 Back then in  secondary school, a lot of things mattered. I used to be among the "pens with tiny mouth" lovers. (And I still am😌). I never used to like writing with any pen that had a fat tip. If I got a new note, or had to write something at my convenience, I always used a pen with a tiny mouth. Lucky corer was my favourite then. When writing  exams, I wouldn't dare go in with a big "mouth biro". I had my reasons then. Since writing with fat tip pen  was never my choice, somehow, it always affected my mood, and my handwriting too. I noticed if I used any "big mouth biro", instead of concentrating while writing, I'll be busy bemoaning my  handwriting, and cursing whatever situation that made me use that pen in the first place. Because of this, while coming from home for a new term, I usually buy my biros and come with the...

On Comparison: What Reliance isn't seeing.

So what is it? RELIANCE : I've not been feeling so fine lately. My health has been deteriorating without mercy. Of recent, I've had to visit the hospital twice for tests, to reassure myself that I'm not actually a sickler. VALERIE : Okayyyy...your OCD won this time around. RELIANCE : Stop it. You would have done the same if you were in my shoes. VALERIE : Oya now, no vex ma. RELIANCE : See ehn, that is not even my issue. So many things have been on my mind lately. VALERIE: (Sitting up) Hmmmm...Do you mind sharing? RELIANCE : Not really. Errhm...do you remember Ola? The girl we used to call smallie dah year? VALERIE: (Thinking aloud) Smallie...Ola...who...wait, wait, the one from our secondary school? RELIANCE : Ehen!( claps her hand)...I saw her. VALERIE : (Brightens up her eyes, and begins to smile) Oh my God..where? How was she looking? Where does she live? RELIANCE : Calm down madam...abi, I should leave you to do the talking? VALERIE : Sorry oo..Oya, I...
